Goddess and Faery Pendants

The Nagas of India are powerful, magickal, semi-divine, snake-spirits.
They are half-serpent, half-human. They reside in an underground kingdom called,
Bhagavati,meaning “rich in treasure”.
Nagas and Naginis (female snake-spirits), use magick and have supernatural powers.
They are spiritual beings, one of which provided comfort and safety to The Buddha,
during long periods of meditation.
Psychologically, Nagas symbolize spiritual seekers.
Magickally, they come to the aid of other beings, who are sincere seekers,
helping them discover the hidden treasures of the spirit.
Nagas will help keep sincere beings on their spiritual path.
This can lead to material treasures as well. Sincerity is the key.
In the tradition of Mahayana Buddhism,
it is stated that The Lotus Sutra was written in the time of the Buddha (500BCE)
and kept secret for 500 years in the realm of the Dragons, or Nagas.
Our Nagini symbolizes the snake-spirit who preached this dharma to all living beings.
A sense of Timelessness and the inconceivable are woven in The Lotus Sutra,
with reference to the cosmological order, and the realms of gods, devas, dragons and other mythological beings.
Considered to be one of the highest teachings, it is implied that full Buddhahood
can only be attained by exposure to the truths expressed within The Lotus Sutra.
Wear “The Nagini” keep to your spiritual path and enjoy the treasures this brings to your life!

The Peace Goddess
Our world is in desperate need of peace, and no one has expressed this more
poignantly than the immortal John Lennon.
"
Imagine there's no Heaven It's easy if you try
No hell below us Above us only sky
Imagine all the people Living for today
Imagine
there's no countries It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too
Imagine all the people Living life in peace
You
may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one
Imagine
no possessions I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people Sharing all the world
You
may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one "

for Puzzle Rings By Pepi
Demeter
is part of the Greek Pantheon of Gods and Goddesses of Mt Olympus.
She is known as the Mother Goddess and also the Goddess of Grain.
She is most well-known by the myth of Demeter and her daughter Persephone.
Persephone was the child of Demeter and Zeus.
As a maiden, Persephone was abducted by the God Hades,
and taken to the underworld to become his bride. Demeter heard her
daughter's cries as she was swallowed up by the earth and brought
into the darkness of Hades' world. Demeter searched for nine days
and nights, without sleep or food in search of Persephone. Heliope, God of
the Sun, then told her that Zeus had allowed Hades to abduct her and make
her his bride. Demeter's grief was so great that she could only
wander the earth in despair.
At her Temple in Eleusis she sat, in hopeless depression
at the loss of her child. She stopped functioning as the nurturing,
mothering Goddess, causing crops to fail and no children to be born. Famine
threatened the destruction of humanity. Zeus had to do something! He allowed
Persephone to be brought to Demeter to finally end her grief and restore the
earth's abundance. But poor Persephone had eaten pomegranate seeds given to
her by Hades and could only spend two-thirds of the year with Demeter. She
had to return to Hades for the other third. This is said to be our cold,
dark, winter months when crops stop growing and the landscape becomes barren.
The myth of Demeter and Persephone is testament to the bond of a mother
and child. A mother's love is boundless. It lies deep in the psyche where
spirituality resides. The Goddess Demeter represents a woman's need to
nurture and sustain; whether it be her children, her work, her community,
or
other people's children. She will provide for physical needs, emotional
needs, and spiritual needs. Demeter also represents the challenge of growth
through suffering, which results in renewed wisdom and a deeper spiritual
understanding.

"The Jewel in The Lotus"
Om
Mane Padme Hum, Hail the Jewel is in the Lotus.
This mystical phrase, popular in India for centuries, has its roots
in Buddhism.
Understanding its meaning can help guide one on the path toward spiritual
enlightenment.
In Tantric Buddhism, the jewel in the lotus is a metaphor
for the highly ecstatic sexual union of the male and female energies.
The jewel represents the phallus, and is also referred to as the
diamond,
gem or the lightening bolt; the dynamic vehicle of the male energy.
The lotus symbolizes the cosmic yoni from which all life was created.
The lotus has been a strong female symbol in the East for thousands of years.
Wear our Jewel in the Lotus to help guide your inner journey
and to share with others the gift of knowledge,
sacred sexual energies, and an enlightened spirit!

Laksmi
is one of the most beloved Hindu Goddesses.
She
represents the "Perfect State of Refinement" that transcends the
Material World.
In Ancient Indian texts, she is the embodiment of Royal Power, Noble
Rank, Bounteousness, Beauty, Fertility, Prosperity, Abundance, and Good
Fortune. She is Creation; she is the transformation of Formless Waters into
life.
Our Laksmi is depicted sitting atop a Lotus Blossom: the symbol of
Fertility, Purity, and Spiritual Perfection. The blooms and buds of the
Lotus surround her signifying the various stages of Creation. When depicted
alone, without her consort Vishnu, she usually has four arms representing
Her Nurturing and Generous Nature. Gold coins flow from her hand in
Prosperity. A pot of "Amrita" the Essence of immortality is held
in another.
A Bilva fruit, representing Spiritual Strife, which occurs just before one
achieves "Moksa" or Freedom from the circle of Karma is in yet another.

Soulmates
The quest
for love is imperative for most of us.
However elusive it can be, we never give up looking for our soulmate.
The myth of Cupid and Psyche illustrates the power of love
and the true meaning of the term Soulmates.
Psyche's quest to win back Cupid's love dates back to the 2nd century AD.
Psyche is such a beautiful princess, that the goddess Venus becomes jealous
of her.
She instructs her son Cupid to make Psyche fall in love with a hideous monster,
so all attention would again be on Venus. Instead, Cupid falls in love with
Psyche himself.
He becomes her unseen husband, visiting her only at night.
Psyche is sworn not to look upon the face of her unseen husband lest she
lose his trust and his love.
Out of fear, she broke her promise and Cupid left her.
She appeals to the Goddess Venus and undertakes a series of
cruel and difficult tasks in the hope of winning him back.
Eventually, Cupid can no longer bear witness to her suffering
or be apart from her and pleads their cause to the gods.
Psyche becomes an immortal and the lovers are married in heaven.
Cupid is said to represent the heart and Psyche , the soul of a relationship.
Our embracing lovers symbolize that heart and soul and the ideal of finding
your Soulmate.

Lilith
The legendary figure of Lilith has become a symbol for
womens unity.
Feminist culture has adopted Lilith as an icon of womens equality, freedom
of choice,
freedom of expression, & sexual freedom.
As with many legendary and mythological female figures,
Lilith has been associated with the dark side.
Lilith is said to have been the first wife of Adam,
who refused to be the subservient partner.
She fled the Garden of Eden and became known through folklore and mythology
as a demon and a succubus. The Lilith symbol is not for everyone.......
the imagery is strong, unpredictable, and frightening; but also raw, real,
and powerfully honest.

Anima
Mundi
The soul of the world
The Anima
Mundi has been defined in philosophy as the universal soul.
Plato believed that the Anima Mundi acted to the world,
as the human soul acts to the human body.
He spoke of the cosmos as a living being, with a body, soul, and spirit.
The Anima Mundi was thus called, The Soul of the World.
Some say the profoundness of the soul was minimized by the philosophy
of Rene Descartes, in the 17th century.
He removed the soul from nature, by stating that all of nature was a machine,
including the human body.
Science attempted to understand how the body worked, but not why.
Western thinking perpetuated this idea by separating science from religion,
and allowed science to define the world by its own terms.
We neglected our souls, and were not conscious of the souls in others;
the souls which make living things alive.
On September 11, 2001, the world as we knew it, changed forever. The Soul
of the World shuddered.
The event left us shaken, bewildered, frightened, enraged, confused, and
yet still hopeful.
Many of us began to appreciate our lives more than ever before,
because the uncertainty and fragility of life
made it all the more precious. Our souls were awakened.
We must understand that we are part of something
much bigger than ourselves; that we are not only part of a living,
breathing earth, but part of a universal consciousness.
Eastern philosophies have always believed this.
The Anima Mundi pours forth her blessings upon the world.
May we all learn to do the same.

Bastet
The Egyptian Cat Goddess
Bastet,
or Bast, was a most popular goddess of ancient Egypt.
She was a cat-headed deity. The domestic cat was revered in Ancient Egypt
because of its
mysterious nature and affinity for its human owners.
One of the largest, most joyous and elaborate festivals was held in honor
of Bastet in the city of Bubastis. It is estimated that 700,000 people attended
this festival every year. Egyptologists uncovered catacombs of mummified felines
in the ruins of the Temple of Bubastis. It was believed the mummies could
bring
messages to the gods from their owners. Bastet was called The Divine
Mother.
Her Greek counterpart was the Goddess Artemis, and Roman Goddess Diana.
During the Middle Ages, the name Diana, came to mean Queen of the Witches
and the cat became identified with witchcraft and goddess worship. Goddess

The
Flower of Aphrodite
Designed by Linda Masselli
exclusively for Pepi and Company
The Flower of Aphrodite represents the powerful magic of love and sexuality
associated with the Greek Goddess "Aphrodite";
also known as "Venus" in Roman mythology. Aphrodite is best
known as the Goddess of Love,
but her real magic is about transformation.
The passion of two lovers, uniting as God and Goddess, comes from
the power of Aphrodite.
The muse-like qualities of Aphrodite keep the creative flow of
the artist in motion.
She attracts us with both romantic love and sexual passion.
She has the power to transform the mundane into something sacred.
Although we are helpless while under her influence, we crave the heightened
senses and emotional
bliss we feel when Aphrodite steps into our lives.
The Flower of Aphrodite is made up of six vesica piscis, almond shaped forms
which represent the yoni, or female genitalia.
The number six represents equilibrium, harmony, and balance.
Six was known to the Ancients as the sexual number and was sacred to Aphrodite.
The Flower of Aphrodite was used as a fertility amulet because of these associations.
The cobweb shape surrounding the vesica piscis represents the lure and the
trap of the Goddess Aphrodite.
Sometimes the Goddess weaves a web of intricate circumstances, to bring
two lovers together in blissful ecstasy.
Sometimes the Goddess traps us helplessly in unrequited love
with all its painful lessons!
But without Aphrodite's magic, we can't experience the passion and joys
that the mysteries of the heart bring;
some to make us human, others to experience the god and
goddess within us.
Wearing this amulet will invite the power of The Goddess
of Love into your life.
Wear it to rekindle love, find new love, as a fertility amulet, and as an
inspiration for the creative process.

Pentacle

An original
design by Chris Bennett for Puzzle Rings By Pepi
The Pentacle, or five-pointed star, is a powerful symbol used by many cultures
throughout history. Anthropologists believe the earliest known use was in
Ancient Mesopotamia,
around 3500 BC. It was used as a symbol of truth by early Hebrew peoples,
and studied extensively
by the ancient Greek philosopher, Pythagoras. He was interested in its
metaphysical qualities. "Pythagoreans" called it the symbol of Perfection.
Celtic Druids called it the symbol of The Godhead. Early Pagans related it
to the "fiveness" in nature.
Early Christians related the five points of the pentacle to the five wounds
of Christ.
The depth and power of this symbol continues to be universally recognized
today.
Our Pentacle of the Goddess is reflective of the pentacle in Nature.
The five-pointed star is a gateless design, which ensures protection against
malevolent forces.
It is also surrounded by vines and flowers, in a continuous design, adding
to the protective,
nurturing presence of the Goddess. In ritual Magick, the five points relate
to
the five elements in nature; earth, water, air, fire, and spirit! In Wicca
practice,
the pentacle points up symbolizing the triumph of spirit over matter.
Wear "The Pentacle of the Goddess" in honor of the Earth Mother.
Give a self-blessing by touching the left breast, forehead, right breast,
left shoulder. and left breast to complete.
